Yale-New Haven Hospital's 1998 Annual Report takes a look back at the progress of the past century--medical advances, new knowledge bases and changes in health care delivery. Yale-New Haven has made major contributions to the history of American medicine. This annual report is the first in a trilogy of reports that will outline the history of Yale-New Haven Hospital and bring us to a new millennium and the hospital's 175th anniversary in 2001.
